Age Information
The minimum age with an Avis/Avis-Honored charge card or travel voucher is -
- • For groups A,B,C,D,E 21.
• For group F 23
• For group G,I,N 25
The minimum age for cash rentals is –
- • For groups A,B,C,D,E,F 25
• For group G,I,N 30
Underage Age Surcharge
An Underage Surcharge of 10.00 USD per day for drivers between the ages of 21 and 24.
Additional Drivers
All drivers must meet the same minimum age and driver’s license requirements as the renter.
Fees:
Additional Driver Fee of 5.00 USD per day, per additional driver.

At the time of rental, there will be a charge card hold of the estimated rental charges plus the NWE, depending on the renter’s choice of coverage options.

Cash Rentals: are accepted.
Customers using cash rentals must meet the following age requirements.
• For groups A,B,C,D,E,F 25
• For groups G,I,N 30
Customer must meet above cash requirements for age and must be cash qualified at the rental counter. Prepayment is required at the time of rental, which is the estimated rental charges, plus a deposit for fuel will apply for any renters without a credit card as a guarantee.
Deposit for cash renters with no credit card:
• For groups A,B,C,D,E,F,N Estimated rental charges plus 100.00 USD
• For group G Estimated rental charges plus 200.00 USD
• For group I Estimated rental charges plus 600.00 USD
Travel Vouchers: Avis and Avis honored vouchers are accepted as payment at the end of the rental only. Renter must present an Avis honored charge card as a guarantee at the time of rental or be cash qualified.
Debit Cards: are not accepted.
Taking your vehicle outside the Country
Not applicable. Cars are not allowed outside of the country.
Waiver and Protection Options
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)
Purchase of LDW relieves the renter of financial responsibility in case of loss of or damage to the Avis vehicle as a result of an accident, vandalism or theft. The minimum deductible for all car groups is 500.00 USD. If LDW is declined, the customer will be responsible for up to the full value of the vehicle plus additional expenses including an administrative fee, towing expense and time loss (during repair) or disposal fee (in case of total loss).
If LDW is not accepted a deposit of 900.00 USD would be required.

Damage to people and their property
Public liability and property damage coverages up to 150,000.00 NAG is included in the rates.
Additional Liability Insurance (ALI)

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
Purchase of PAI provides accidental death and medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the Avis vehicle.
Driving License and ID Requirements
A valid driving license from the renter's country of residence and must have been held for at least two years immediately prior to the rental pick-up date. Additionally, all driving licenses printed in a non-Roman alphabet must be accompanied by a valid International Driving Permit (IDP). License must not have any restrictions on it, if customer is renting with cash.
Fuel Charges
The vehicle is rented with a full tank of gas and must be returned with a full tank of gas or there will be a charge for refueling. If you have refueled please keep your receipt for verification purposes. Check with counter for prepaid options.

No-Show/Cancellation Policy
For groups G and N: To be guaranteed, reservation must include the customer’s charge card number, expiration date and billing address. A no-show fee of 75.00 USD will apply if the reservation is cancelled with less than 48 hour notice or if the customer does not rent the vehicle within 12 hours of the reserved time.
One Way Rentals
Cars can be returned to other Avis locations in within Curacao based on car availability. No one-way fee applies.
Special Equipment
Child Safety Seats (CSS): are available at a cost of 6.00 USD per day.
Child Booster Seats (CBS): are available at a cost of 4.00 USD per day.
Hand Controls or Left Foot Controls: are on request at no charge.
Navigation System (GPS): are available at a cost of 9.00 USD per day.
